CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE CBJJ FOLKS WHO COMPETED! WELL DONE!!

Congratulations to all of the CBJJ athletes who competed at the Fight To Win 2012 Colorado State Championship on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Way to step up and put it on the line. Professor Ben Lowry put it best in his post on Facebook saying:

“I would like to say job well done to my guys who competed today!! Victor for pulling off his first submission at white belt - and a brabo choke none the less!! Big Angel for taking third in his first competition at white belt 220+ (kinda crazy to see guys that make him look small)!!  Josh Talkington for most likely breaking his thumb and taping it up to fight for third and winning by arm bar!! Brandon for fighting his ass off in all of his fights even though he popped his rib this week and taking third in the open after five great matches!!!  Phillip Lietz for tapping everyone at purple belt in his weight and absolute to win double gold (he had six matches)!! Great job guys!!! And to everyone else from CBJJ who competed; win or lose you all did great and we will learn and come back stronger!!! This is the cycle!!! See you guys next week.”

Big congratulations are also in order for Matt Johnson who won Gold in his no-gi division, Steve Cohen who won Gold in his gi division, Heather Westman for taking the Silver in her gi division and getting her first tournament submission by way of an Americana, Micah Martin for taking Silver and getting his first tournament submission by way of arm bar, and Tyler Sparlin for taking Silver after many hard fought matches. Way to go CBJJ!!!
